Bronagh Slevin is an Irish writer, songwriter and composer based in Sicily. A multi-instrumentalist, she is primarily a vocalist, cellist and pianist.
Her music career began at the peak of the Trip Hop movement during a collaboration as singer-songwriter with Bristol band Crustation. Bloom (Sony Music UK) has just been reissued on vinyl by Music on Vinyl, and is still considered a Trip Hop masterpiece.
She is cellist with the Alkantara MediOrkestra, with whom she has participated in many festivals such as il Festival Adriatico Mediterraneo, Ethnos Festival, Mediterraneo Jazz di Curva Minore and the Alkantara Fest. She performs on the ensemble’s current release, JazzBound.
In REWILDING, her forthcoming debut solo album, she explores the edges of the voice and cello to rediscover ancestral songlines. Inspired by ritual song and deep listening, incantatory lyrics meet a stirring symbiosis between voice and cello inviting us to tread the wild path back to ourselves once more.
She has authored two books, Water Will Find its Way, and Sicilian Girl, which won the International Debut novel Competition 2025.

Lei è di Capo d’Orlando e quando ritorniamo in Sicilia veniamo a trovarti sicuramente. L’inglese è sempre più tecnico, ovvero quello che mi serve per il lavoro, la comprensione è buona ma sono carente sul dialogo perché purtroppo non lo pratico molto. Ci vediamo presto, baci dalla Toscana.
